Every Palworld Cooking Recipe in 2026: Exact Ingredients, SAN Recovery Values, and the 8 Recipes Worth Farming

Verified against community wiki data and in-game testing as of the Feybreak update (2026). Pocket Pair may adjust values in future patches.

Your Pals losing sanity is a production killer — and the fix is almost always food. Most guides list recipes and leave it there. This one goes further: every recipe across all four cooking stations with exact SAN recovery values, a ranked list of the 8 meals worth building dedicated farming setups for, and a player-type breakdown so you know which recipe to target at your current progression stage.

How Cooking Works: Quick Start

Palworld has four cooking stations, each unlocking a wider recipe pool:

  • Campfire (Level 2) — single-ingredient roasts, no Pal required, no buffs
  • Cooking Pot (Level 17, 2 Technology Points) — multi-ingredient meals with work speed, defense, and attack buffs. Build cost: 20 Wood, 15 Ingot, 3 Flame Organ. Requires a Pal with Kindling work suitability to operate.
  • Electric Kitchen (Level 44) — highest-tier buff recipes, strongest work speed and combat bonuses
  • Large-Scale Stone Oven (Level 49, Feybreak update) — cooks all 50 base recipes plus 3 exclusive Epic dishes; supports up to 4 Kindling Pals simultaneously for the fastest cook speed in the game

Foxparks and Flambelle are the easiest early Kindling Pals to catch. Assign one to your base and the Cooking Pot runs automatically. When you upgrade to the Electric Kitchen or Stone Oven, prioritize Kindling Level 3+ Pals — cooking speed scales with their level.

Quick Start checklist:

  1. Unlock Campfire at Level 2 — roast any meat drops immediately
  2. Plant Red Berries and Wheat early (Levels 2 and 15)
  3. Unlock Cooking Pot at Level 17 — assign a Foxparks or Flambelle
  4. Unlock Tomato Plantation at Level 21, Lettuce at Level 25
  5. Start farming Grilled Lamball or Jam-filled Bun at the Cooking Pot stage
  6. Upgrade to Electric Kitchen at Level 44 — target Dumud Chowder or Mozzarina Hamburger
  7. Build the Large-Scale Stone Oven at Level 49 for Mammorest Curry (the highest SAN and nutrition recipe in the game)

Campfire Recipes — Full List

Campfire recipes are single-ingredient with no buff output. Their value is speed and simplicity: drop a raw drop in, get a cooked item back with higher SAN recovery than the raw version. Large-animal roasts (Broncherry, Mammorest, Reindrix) give 21–23 SAN from one ingredient — always roast large drops before they spoil.

Cooking Pot Recipes — Full List

This is where food becomes a base management tool. Work speed buffs at the Cooking Pot tier run +30% — a meaningful gain when your production chain is already optimized but Pals keep sanity-crashing mid-shift.

Grilled Lamball is the standout: one ingredient (Lamball Mutton), +30% work speed, AND slowed sanity decay simultaneously. That double buff on a single-ingredient recipe is the best return in the Cooking Pot tier. Set up a small Lamball ranch and you can automate this entirely.

The Jam-filled Bun deserves a specific note on timing. Between Level 17 (Cooking Pot unlock) and Level 21 (Tomato Plantation), it is your highest-SAN plant-only recipe — Wheat (Level 15) and Red Berries (Level 2) are both available before Tomatoes and Lettuce unlock. Once your Tomato and Lettuce crops come online, Salad’s 11 SAN and +30% work speed supersedes it for plant-based production.

Electric Kitchen Recipes — Full List

The Electric Kitchen (Level 44) is where work speed buffs hit their ceiling: two recipes deliver +50% work speed — Dumud Chowder and Mozzarina Hamburger. The difference between them matters for base management:

  • Dumud Chowder: +50% work speed + slowed hunger decay — your workers eat less often and work faster. Best if hunger is your production bottleneck.
  • Mozzarina Hamburger: +50% work speed + slowed sanity decay — best for Pals doing high-sanity-drain work like intensive mining or constant combat.

The Mozzarina Cheeseburger (288 nutrition, 36 SAN) is the highest SAN recovery recipe available outside the Large-Scale Stone Oven — and it pairs a +20% attack buff with slowed hunger decay, making it the first choice for expedition parties.

Large-Scale Stone Oven: The Feybreak Addition

Added in the Feybreak update, the Large-Scale Stone Oven unlocks at Technology Level 49 (5 Technology Points). Build cost: 200 Cement, 1,000 Stone, 200 Charcoal, 20 Flame Organ. It cooks every recipe available at the Campfire, Cooking Pot, and Electric Kitchen — plus three exclusive Epic-rarity dishes — and supports four Kindling Pals working simultaneously for the fastest cook speed of any station.

The three exclusive recipes:

RecipeNutritionSANIngredients
Mammorest Curry418521× Mammorest Meat, 2× Onion, 2× Carrot, 2× Potato, 2× Red Berries
Galeclaw Nikujaga1× Galeclaw Poultry, 2× Onion, 2× Carrot, 2× Potato
Mushroom Quiche1× Flour, 2× Mushroom, 2× Onion, 2× Egg, 2× Milk

Note: SAN and nutrition values for Galeclaw Nikujaga and Mushroom Quiche are not yet confirmed in community sources — verify in-game. Mammorest Curry’s values (418 nutrition, 52 SAN) are confirmed via the Palworld Wiki.

Mammorest Curry is the highest-nutrition farmable recipe in the game. The 52 SAN per serving means one curry feeding round can pull a nearly-depressed Pal back from the brink. At this progression level, you should have a dedicated Mammorest ranch generating consistent meat output.

The 8 Recipes Worth Building a Farm For

Most recipes are opportunistic — cook what you hunt. These 8 justify dedicated farming infrastructure because their buff or SAN output compounds into measurable base efficiency gains over a session.

The ranking weighs: SAN recovery (Pal welfare), work speed buff (production output), and ingredient accessibility (automation potential):

RankRecipeSANPrimary BuffWhy Farm It
1Mozzarina Cheeseburger36+20% attack, slowed hungerHighest SAN at Electric Kitchen tier + combat buff in one
2Mammorest Curry52Epic tierHighest SAN and nutrition in the entire game
3Dumud Chowder21+50% work speed, slowed hungerMaximum production acceleration with hunger management

6Eikthyrdeer Stew27+20% defenseBest defense + SAN ratio for tank-heavy teams
7Grilled Lamball18+30% work speed, slowed sanityBest Cooking Pot ROI — one ingredient, two buffs

Cake: The Breeding Exception

Cake sits outside the farming efficiency framework — it exists for Pal breeding, not daily feeding. The recipe demands 8 Egg, 5 Flour, 2 Honey, 7 Milk, and 8 Red Berries, producing 656 nutrition and 82 SAN per cake. That looks impressive, but the ingredient cost — particularly 7 Milk requiring a Mozzarina or Milk-capable Pal ranch — makes it a poor daily food choice compared to a Cheeseburger or Mammorest Curry. Make Cake only when you need to breed, not as routine base food.

FAQ

What Pal do I need to run the Cooking Pot?

Any Pal with Kindling work suitability. Foxparks and Flambelle are the easiest early catches and both carry Kindling Level 1. Assign one to your base and it will cook automatically when a recipe is queued. The Large-Scale Stone Oven supports up to four Kindling Pals simultaneously — higher Kindling levels mean faster cook throughput, so upgrade your kitchen Pal as you progress.

Is Salad worth farming over Grilled Lamball?

If you want a fully automated, no-hunting food chain, Salad (Lettuce + Tomato, +30% work speed) is the cleaner setup — crops run themselves with a Planting Pal. Grilled Lamball (+30% work speed + slowed sanity decay, 18 SAN vs Salad’s 11) delivers more value per recipe but needs a Lamball ranch or active hunting. The Lamball wins on raw stats; Salad wins on automation simplicity. If your base runs itself overnight, Salad is the pragmatic choice.

Do food work speed buffs stack with Pal skill levels?

Based on observed base behaviour, food work speed buffs appear to add on top of a Pal’s base work suitability level rather than multiply it — a Kindling Level 4 Pal eating Dumud Chowder cooks faster than the same Pal eating nothing. The exact interaction formula is not officially documented by Pocket Pair, so treat 50% as an additive bonus, not a multiplier. Verify in-game if your exact throughput numbers matter for a production calculation.
