  1. Do I have to calibrate or configure SwitchBlade to use it?
    No! SwitchBlade is ready to play and requires no configuration as long as the supported game's bindings are at its default settings. Just select the Blade and get in the game.
  2. What hardware do I need to use SwitchBlade?
    A PC that meets the minimum requirements for the game you want to play, an Xbox 360 controller, and an Xbox 360 Wireless Gaming Receiver for Windows if you use a wireless controller.
  3. What additional software do I need installed to use SwitchBlade?
    1. The game you wish to play.
    2. The driver for the Xbox 360 controller. Download here.

  4. Can I change my buttons while I am playing the game?
    Yes, you can alt-tab and open the customize controls menu, select a button, make a change, and they will immediately take effect.
  5. Do I need an Internet connection to use SwitchBlade?
    SwitchBlade does not require an Internet connection after the initial install and registration process are completed. However in order to receive updates you will need an Internet connection.
  6. How much does SwitchBlade cost?
    SwitchBlade is free!
  7. Can I use it with other controllers?
    Support for other controllers will be available in the near future. Visit the SwitchBlade Forums for the latest news on controller support or to suggest a controller you would like to see supported.
  8. How do I tell if my controller is ready?
    From the Main menu: the currently active Blade, Preset, and controller type will be displayed near the lower right. If the controller is active, it will read "Controller: Xbox 360." Controller Status
  9. Why can't I change the button assignments on the customize controls menu?
    Make sure to select the button you wish to change and press the "A" button on the controller or click using your mouse the "A" icon to edit the button.
  10. My wireless controller won't sync with the receiver. What should I do?
    Make sure a proper connection is established by following these steps:
    • Plug in the Wireless Gaming Receiver,
    • Power ON your wireless controller,
    • Press and hold the Sync button on the Wireless Receiver until the light blinks, and
    • Press and hold the sync button on the top of the controller until the Xbox Guide button lights begin to rotate.

  11. I hooked up my Xbox 360 Wireless controller using the Play and Charge kit, but it won't work. Why?
    The Play and Charge kit does not function as a USB adapter for the controller. Microsoft built it so that it only sends power to the controller to recharge batteries. A wireless receiver is still required to detect the controller's wireless signal that sends the button inputs.

    SwitchBlade v3.0.1 has numerous Vista improvements, making it the most Vista compatible version of SwitchBlade yet.
